Places where you can watch a Lakers game on ESPN?

I don’t have cable TV at my place, so I was wondering if it was possible to go somewhere and watch a Lakers game at a public venue/business somewhere other than a sports bar? Are there “TV cafes” anywhere, or something of that sort? Thanks.

I know you say not a sports bar, but there are restaurants (which may have bars in them) which will have TVs. Buy a meal, kind of like paying for time in something like internet access in a cafe, and watch the game. Plus, you get food.

I don’t know if it’s done for NBA teams, but football teams (college and pro) will have watch sites, where you can go to watch the game with fans of the same team, even if you aren’t in the hometown. Of course, these may be bars.

If you go to an electronics store (Best Buy), they might have the game on one of the display TVs, but would you want to be the guy that shows up and stands around in the TV section to watch a basketball game?

Just out of curiosity, why don’t you want to go to a bar?

Moving from IMHO to Game Room.

Are you sure you can’t watch on ESPN3.com? Some ESPN programs are available there even if you don’t have cable TV. I pay for comcast cable and I haven’t had any issues.

If you are too young to go to a bar, I would suggest an Applebees or similar restaurant. Lots of tvs and you can just pick up an appetizer and snack away if you aren’t in the mood for a full meal.

It would help to know where you are located because that will affect your options. If you are of age, then I am also curious why you vetoed a sports bar.

If you have Internet access, you can watch ESPN online. WatchESPN (ESPN3) shows everything on the ESPN networks so that will definitely work. I watched every Rutgers game that wasn’t on national tv this season on my computer with no issues.
