Regardless of your stance on children being able to get an abortion without notification to parents, I think it goes without saying that this is way fucking wrong. I know this nurse was looking to protect the child from a bunch of shit over a stupid mistake, but wtf?! We’re talking about a 31 year-old man having sex with a 13 year-old girl. Did this woman just not have any kids of her own or any that were in any way close to her?
Note that the girl was not actually 13, but a 20 year-old who went in under cover as a 13 year-old.
I can’t watch You-tube links on this 'puter, but from your description - am I correct that the pregnant female in question was 20, claimed she was 13 (for whaterver reason) and you’re pissed off 'cause the family planning clinic didn’t report a crime? Isn’t it possible/probable that a nurse would be able to look at a 20 year old and realize ‘aint no way this person is 13’?
Something really, really bugs me about these so called “stings” against Planned Parenthood. Of course, inappropriate conver ups certainly happen, but these radical pro-life groups are trying to make it look like PP actually endorses this instead of this being a rogue employee.
Bring in enough actors with cameras to ANY workplace, and eventually you’ll get some “GOTCHA YA!” moment to play on Youtube.
You should watch the video. It isn’t that the crime wasn’t reported. It’s that the nurse heard how old the guy was that had sex with her and then threw her hands up and said, “I don’t want to know. I didn’t hear how old he was.” She then proceeded to tell her WHY she didn’t want to know and how the “child” could circumvent other laws as well, by showing her places where she could go to avoid her parents finding out.

If she’d recognized the girl as being older than 13, then why would she continue to coach her on how to get around his jail time and her parents not finding out?
Admittedly I pasted the text from the YouTube link as the subject for the post, and it should be changed, but are you saying that it was staged? I mean, since the nurse in question has been suspended and the case is under investigation, I think that would shoot that theory in the ass.
It isn’t clear to me at all. She could have realized that the person was well over 13, but not absolutely sure of their age. Given that scenario, it makes sense to me that she’d want to avoid specifics the faker said.
Your general comments don’t give me direct quotes. and frankly, if this is, indeed, a sting intended to bust Planned Parenthood, who’s running it? what’s their motivations?
I know of stings by the local cops about alcohol sales, they’ll bring in some one who may appear to be of age, but barely, and lacks ID, to check if the clerk asks for ID (They’re supposed to if some one even appears to be under 30). I’m good w/that. But a 20 year old attempting to pass themself off as a 13 year old? To what end?
I’m outraged, but not for the same reason the Op is. This video represents exactly why I’ll never support parental notification abortion laws, because this is precisely why so-called Christians want them.

So then what you are saying is that you don’t give a shit that the nurse attempted to sweep under the rug the fact that a 13 year-old (to her at least) was raped by a 31 year-old man? I mean she put her head down on the desk when she heard it, she knew what she was doing. You aren’t curious as to how many times the possibility existed that this nurse has done something like this previous to this time?
Because if it was a girl of 14 or 15, for some reason saying she was 13, she needs to be told “STOP lying about your age”, yet the nurse wasn’t in a position to challenge directly.
That said, my impression of the video is that the nurse realises that a statutory rape law set above an age at which many children choose to become sexually active is a ridiculous law which can cause more problems than it solves.
