Plastic craft animal eyes - paint? Also - cat eyes?

I want to make little cloth/yarn figures and like the hand-painted animal eyes you see on etsy (example: This item is unavailable - Etsy) and would like to make my own from clear ones (example: CR's Crafts - Largest Variety of Doll Supplies and Bear Supplies ANYWHERE!).

What kind of paint should I use? I would like them to be able to be washed. Any special procedures?

Also, I can’t seem to find clear cat eyes to make ones like this: This item is unavailable - Etsy. Do you know of any sources?

You could ask that Etsy seller where she got hers.

Also, Van Dyke Taxidermy has all kinds of eyes (http://www.vandykestaxidermy.com/category/glass-eyes). I do not see any of those specific eyes, but they do custom work, and might sell you some clear ones. However, you will receive their catalog in the mail forever if you order from them.

I would use glass tint.
