You know those popsicles that are just kool aid in plastic tubes, designed to be frozen and then squeezed out one end?
Do these things have a real name aside from brand names like Otter Pops etc?

We called them, generically, freezer pops.
Freeze pops (which may or may not be a brand name, like Kleenex, I’m not sure) or freezie pops or freezer pops here in Chicagoland.
tupperware called them Ice Tups. Same thing except you made your own koolaide and poured it in them.
They are called freezies around here. I’ve never heard of them called anything else.
Now I’m curious as to where “around here” is. I don’t remember ever hearing them called “freezies” (I’d’ve said “freezer pops”), but Google confirms it’s a common name for them. Is this another one of those regional differences?
Canada. I have lived in BC, Alberta, and Ontario, and we always called them freezies.
Push ups.
These are Push-Ups.
When I was a kid the plastic stick had a design/character on it that you could see after you finished eating it.
When I was a kid the plastic stick was made of wood.
Squeeze pops.
Freezer pops: flavor ice - Google Search
When I was a kid, they were always ‘Otter Pops’. According to the Wiki article, Otter Pops are a freezie. ‘A freezie is a water-based frozen snack. It is made by freezing flavored liquid (such as fruit juice) inside a plastic casing. When it has a stick, it is called a popsicle. A freezie (also known as an ice pop, freezer pop, ice-pole, tip top, icy-pole…) is a snack of frozen flavored sugar water, fruit juice or fruit purée in a plastic tube, either round or flat.’
They be freezies.
I recall a similar treat in Australia but instead of a plastic tube it was a foil backed paper in a pyramid shape. Damn I loved those things. I used to get the cola flavor along with a sausage roll every lunch as school from the tucker shop.
A little research shows that the ones with the sticks with characters weren’t Push-Ups but a similar brand called Buried Treasure. (end hijack)
Hee…I remember Otter Pops. Alexander the Grape!
We always called the generic ones “freeze pops”.
Here in Canada, they’re called “Mr. Freezes” (the brand name, though there are other brands), or, more commonly, simply “freezies.” We never call them popsicles here.
“Freezies” or “freezer pops” here in Minnesota, or in the winter just “Hey, I spilled my juice.”
The main brand when I was growing up was Mr. Freeze, which most people pronounced as “Mister Freezie” for some reason. That might explain the origin of “freezies.”
Yep. Never bothered with any generic term. No matter who made them, they were “Otter Pops.”
In Oregon we always called them Otter Pops as well, an example of Kleenexing if I ever heard one. That being said, our family always bought the Otter Pops brand, and I still have every single one memorized by name. Still love 'em on occasion!
