Please advice [question about potential pregnancy]

I was on the MoNessa birth control pills for about 6 weeks. I had to quit taking them because it was messing up my horomones really bad. I’ve been off the pill over a month now. Things have been back to normal. My boyfriend and I have been using condoms but one night we both went out and got drunk well one thing lead to another when we got home and I guess we both forgot I quit taking the BC pills. this was two weeks ago. Now I have been getting very nauseous, bloated, fatigued, and my cervix is much lower than usual. What are my chances here that I got pregnant? this happened the day after ovulation? six days away from my period. Getting really concerned. please help!

Tell Aries that little brother is on the way.

IME, hormonal birth control is normally effective for several months after you stop taking it (though perhaps not if you only took it for six weeks).

You may be pregnant and you may not be. No one here will be able to tell you much more than that. Best we can do is urge you to get a test and find out.

What help do you propose we provide? You might be pregnant. You might not. How do you know your cervix is low?? Go get a pregnancy test FFS!

Is a low cervix a sign of the babies sex? Below the knees and it’s a boy?

Pregnancy tests are cheap! Go buy one.

Not typically true; it only takes a week or two for the hormones to leave the system. Most doctors advise waiting 2-3 menstrual cycles before attempting to conceive, because there’s a small chance of miscarriage. That’s a guideline, though- you can stop the pill and get pregnant the next week if the timing lines up.

That’s “average time to get pregnant after getting off the pill”, as my sister in law was very surprised to find out, and it is influenced by other factors. Their eldest was a hole-in-one; the youngest (after again being on the pill) took a whole month and a half to catch.

ariesmomma, keep calm, get a pregnancy test, and whatever it says I hope it’s for the best.
