Please Debunk this UFO Footage

How about something LESS detailed? “UFO’s probably aren’t real so odds are the video is a fake.” One would also need to be pretty predisposed to seeing UFOs to say “I have to admit it is a good one, and pretty damn creepy.” It’s NOT a good one and not remotely creepy unless you want it to be.

With almost every single adult person on the planet now carrying a camera on themselves why are there not more videos of UFO’s, bigfoot, etc.?

There are more eyewitness videos of police confrontations, car accidents, plane accidents, meteors falling from the sky, family altercations, etc., yet no more pictures or videos of supposed freak occurrence things…why is that?

Because aliens are very sneaky.

Unless the object has been identified or shown not to be in flight, it is in fact a Unidentified Flying Object.

UFO, yes
Alien ship, unlikely

That’s what I was thinking, but after viewing the video, I’m not sure I can even say that - I didn’t see anything that was unmistakably flying.

Yeah. And they use their cloaking device.

I think flying saucers are built out of focus.

My guess is that it’s a viral trailer for the next Paul Greengrass movie.

Like others have said, I can’t see much of anything in the video. It just looks like out-of-focus shots of who-knows-what. It looks like the camera operator is deliberately shaking the camera around. Even without a tripod, the operator should be able to hold it a little more still, unless he suffers from some kind of palsy. And with all that zooming in and out, you’d think he’d find one zoom level that would be in focus. I don’t see the “figures”, just blobs. The four lights are odd, but four lights off in the distance could be almost anything. It looks like he’s shooting that part though some kind of separate telescope, like those tourist telescopes where you drop in a coin for a couple minutes of use. Who knows what he’s seeing? A ship, an airplane coming in to land at a distant airport, an oil rig. Hell, I don’t know. But I think “alien spacecraft” is relatively low on the list of likely explanations.

I’m no expert, but I think I know what those are. It’s a common type of UFO. It can happen when someone films or photographs through a window, and catches a reflection of internal lights.

Here’s a bunch of flying saucers in formation. and several similar pictures here.

Also, this.

That’s the best two examples I can find in a quick search. I’ve seen better.

I was kind of thinking of the same thing. Or, if he is filming through some kind of stationary telescope*, maybe the lights are actually below the scope and shining upward against the lens. But I’m not sure if that would produce exactly the effect seen in the video.

*something like this, where there are four lights somewhere below the telescope stand.

Sounds like a Far Side…

THIS is supposed to be some super awesome convincing video? I expected something that at least looked like it was flying. Not a blurry water faucet! It’s not even a mediocre fake.

Where are all the good, HD fakes? Like that asymmetrical electro-static drive one from about 5-10 years ago. What did that turn out to be - promo for some video game, like it was believed? I never heard.

This is the one:

Great UFO photo

Now THAT’S a UFO. Doesn’t look like anything else. But very clear shot. Is it a miniature? CG? Whichever, they did a good job.

I remember that one. There were a couple of videos of objects like that. They were good. There was a thread around here about them, I think. IIRC, they turned out to be CG and viral ads for a video game.

And then there’s old Bill.

I want to believe, but that video isn’t proof of anything.

I’d suggest anyone interested in the subject watch Morgan Spurlocks inside man episode on Ufos where he volunteers for Mufon and becomes a UFO investigator. He also attends a session by a woman who claims she can show him dozens of UFO siteings at night.

The Mufon people appear at first blush to be a bunch of REALLY bad investigators (despite one being a former real law enforcement officer), but they do take their findings to an “expert”.

The expert pretty much clearly showed that what he saw was satellites (he pulled up the date and location and the number of Ufos was pretty close to the number of satellites) there was also two reports with pics/video he showed the expert - and I don’t remember what the one was, but the other matched up almost perfectly with another image the expert had of a kite (plus he showed how it was buffeted by the wind).

It’s easy to see things and get carried away. Don’t you think that the Aliens would at least have the technology for tinted windows?

I’m not convinced that is an alien face, but even if it is - it could be an alien mask reflected in a water faucet - or even hey a test pilot wearing one. Who knows, but I think we have ample evidence people will lie and make shit up - so it will take more than that to make me believe.

I’m going to stick to the obvious “cruise ship bridge” explanation above.
