Not really no.
A listening friend is better than a paid piece of ear, generally speaking. And psych meds are NOT the fix-all and cure-all that the pharma industry and psych establishment and NAMI would all have you believe. Most of them are risky chemicals with very questionable outcome-to-damage-done ratios. Not to mention what being labeled with a psych diagnosis does to a person socially and culturally and legally.
Yes, far far better to have emo 14-year-olds try to save one another from cutting and suicide. What could possible go wrong there?

Look, I’m all for proper capitalization and punctuation and spelling and all that stuff that makes posts more readable, but can we wait until a new poster’s second or third thread before jumping all over them about it?
Yeah, I’m with Boink . Aside from just wanting to post “I’m with Boink ,” what I mean is, I’m a Gauleiter in the Grammar Nazi Party, but even I balk at jumping on someone whose first post shows this much empathy.
Alright, I bow to peer pressure. I guess I was feeling a little too dickish yesterday.
[whiny 10 year old voice] But, but I wasn’t the first one to point out the capitalization thing, not fair! [/whiny 10 year old voice]
Still, my apologies. :o
