I’d be very surprised if they did so. Better to decide who you want to have that seat and then run them in the special so they can start accumulating seniority.
Boebert obviously isn’t happy about the situation, she’s already bitching about it being “swampy.”
There’s just something invigorating about seeing MAGA flamethrowers like Boebert and Madison Cawthorn get fucked over by the very party apparatus that they’ve shit talked for years. It’s a useful lesson – you can fuck the establishment for a while, but they can also fuck you back.
Or he made a deal with power brokers who want to cancel freedom caucus while keeping their own hands clean. While I’m inclined to cast a jaundiced eye on Republicans bearing gifts, I am inclined to do a happy dance.
The old school way, and it probably is still largely true, is you live in your district, often for decades, and you want to take care of your people. There are of course other agendas like higher political ambitions and larger political ideals for the nation too. She just moved there after never having lived there because it had a better chance of getting her back in Congress. She probably doesn’t know the first thing about her new district. She’s missing the entire fucking point.
She’s not missing the point. She doesn’t give a flying fuck about the point. Represent her district? It is to laugh.
Her sole point is self aggrandizement and personal profit.
Boebert makes reference to a “uniparty” which was a term I was unfamiliar with. It’s a word MAGAts have been using as an insult for Republicans who strike deals with or otherwise work with Democrats.
