I posted this in MPSIMS but it flew off the main page pretty quickly, and this is probably a more appropriate forum. Can anyone identify the song sung in this Strong Bad flash video (about 1 minute into the video)? I swear it sounds familiar, but I just can’t place it.

That is Strong Bad with one of his many, many hits, The Cheat Is Not Dead.
Do you know if it is a spin-off of a real song, or an original? The beat sounds so familiar, but maybe I’ve just watched that flash video one too many times.
The lyrics and such are original. I do not know if the beat is based on any actual song.
I swear that most of the synth sounds used by the Homestar boys comes from an old-school Casio keyboard. Sounds like the SK-1. We had one. Much fun was had by little boys burping into the keyboard and then playing “Chopsticks”… WITH BURPS!
The original tune was ‘It’s a sign of the Times’ or something like that, don’t ask me who sang it. 60’s maybe, early 70’s??

It’s hilarious how often I hear samples from the SK-1 in stuff! Usually just the “percussion” loops (note the quotations). Back in the day, that thing was damn fun to play with! And I don’t know a kid in the world who had that thing that didn’t do what you just said.
