Please help me name my goats!

Now I must say at the outset that Felch is right out. For obvious reasons. But seriously, I am getting three Pygmy goats tomorrow. And I need some good names for them. Pygmy goats live to be about 12-15 years, so they need to be names I can feel comfortable yelling out in the pasture. “You &^%'ing Damn Goat (Satan’s Minion), Come Here NOW!” would probably upset the neighbors. They attend Church every Sunday and home-school their children. They probably don’t want “Cartman, you ASSHOLE, COME HERE NOW!!!” wafting to their children’s ears on a daily basis.

I would really appreciate any suggestions for names at this time. Thank you for your consideration. I will post later to let you know what names I have selected.

Thanks,
truthbot

Goat Meat Curry - Hot or mild, Goat meat curry makes a delicious meal.
Goat Meat Kebabs - Kebabs are great for the barbie, or for dinner.
Citrus Chevon Chops - If you’re used to ordinary lamb chops, think again.
Mango Chevon - A tropical treat.
Honey Chevon with Satay Sauce - You’ll love this, grilled or barbecued.

resume names:

Gourmet Cabrito
Cabrito Guisado (Kid Goat Stew)
Barbacoa
Cabrito al Pator (Broiled Kid)
Seco de Chivo
Chevon Souvlaki

…and the slightly too obvious, which might scare the goat…

Stuffed Goat with Rice

Hee hee! I get it. MOST excellent choice!

Call me a picky Bitch if you will, but ‘Chevon’ is not a name I will consider either. These goats will be pasture pets for me, I am not raising them to be meat. I am however; considering making goat cheese from them. Their milk, that is; not from the animals themselves.

Perhaps it would help if I gave the sex of the goats. The Momma is a yearling, and every bit the female. The babies are (1. a wether and (2. a doe.

I hope this helps in the naming process.

My vote is for Shish, Kah, and Bob.

OneYogini, verrrrry funny. I will happily send you email pictures of my baby goats if you like. They are adorable. They are as playful as puppies and even an Iron Chef would have a hard time butchering them for their meat.

I have taken some of the names into consideration, and will continue to take names for the next 24 hours. If all else fails, I may name the male goat “Doper”.

I have no suggestions, but I just want to say that I LOVE goats! I am so jealous! I can’t wait until I have a house in the country so I can get a little kid of my own.

Cute goat story…

My best friend, cousin and I went to Parc Safari in 1995. There is a walk through part that has deer, pygmy goats and potbellied pigs that you can feed and pet. I sat down on the ground and had about 20 goats jumping on me, headbutting me and nipping at me. I was in heaven!!
