Please help me solve this Rebus.

Any dopers in Denver that can make a trip down to the bookstore and just ask the guy? I for one gave up months ago.

Me too, but I’d kill for someone to just go down there and ask. It may not have as much discussion on the Dope, but this is up there with 14 K…for me.

Hope a doper volunteers!

Which bookstore is it in Denver?

At this point I wouldn’t be surprised if the bookstore turned out to be as fictional as the answer to the puzzle.

This.

On Google Streetview there seems to be another rebus next to it ( http://goo.gl/maps/69NHp ). You can’t see any real detail though. Can anyone get anything from it?

Best I can tell is the second rebus starts with spongebob.

The dude who runs the place must be obsessed with them, there’s one on the floor behind the counter inside the shop, too. And I have to say, I never knew Google Maps had that much detail. Wow.

Could Mikheil+eye equal the female name Micheala?

I have a feeling the answer is going to be extremely unsatisfying.

Hm.
The band Fly Paper, fronted by Micaela Kingslight, started their very first national tour in Denver in August of last year.

At this point, it’d have to be an equation for the philosopher’s stone not to be.

We’ve already determined that the first part of the puzzle is an insulting name a child might call someone with such a birthmark and it’s not the word flies but a name that someone in another part of the country might call flies.

About the only thing I’m sure about is that it’s a shitty riddle and the store owner is crap at brain teasers.

Do any Dopers live near enough to go and ask?

Curious minds want to know.

Okay, working from the middle out: you subtract flies, but add an I before that, leaving “fles” to be removed. This makes me think the term for the birthmark should have the word “flesh” in it, which would be reduced down to just an “h” after “+I -flies”. Thus we have “…h season”, “…h pepper”, “…h spill”, “…h grains” or some such. Hassenpfeffer (or a variant spelling) comes to mind, if the birthmark is something like “assenflesh”.

Haven’t seen it mentioned so far (may have missed it…), but one of Gorbachev’s nicknames was The Marked One (mecheny in Russian). It started out as being a favorable nickname, but then they turned it into a derogatory one over time.

Marked One + Eye - (? = eeye) + Pepper = Marked On Paper. It’s a bookstore.

perhaps “eeye” is the sound they make…

Seriously, does anyone live close enough to go ask?
