Please Mr. Obama, PLEEEAAAASSSSEEEE!!!!!!!!!! An open letter...

still illegal. try plan “c”.

Insert tacky “Plan B” joke here.

Yes, you already said that, and I already responded to it. I’m sure he could be prepped well enough to get the guy up on step.

The two are not in the same position, not due to gender, but due to the children, so you can stop defending her if you like. Obama has two apparently stable school aged children, Palin has *four *kids, one of whom is pregnant and unwed (which means she has four children and one on the way) and one of whom is a special needs infant. 4 = 2[sup]2[/sup], and two of those four could benefit from a whole hell of a lot of parental attention at the moment.

One thing in Palin’s defense I will say is that I couldn’t give less than a damn about “who’s gonna take care of her family?” as I’m pretty sure she’s not going to leave out some food and water and a number to call in D.C… That’s totally her concern and I agree that this is sexist to criticize, though I will say that I’ve heard the “that’s sexist” comments but have yet to hear a respected member of the media actually say “who’s gonna watch her kids?”

Presidential Puppet Master

Five kids.

Well, that depends on which rumors you believe, doesn’t it? But Obama, to his credit, has asked his supporters to knock off criticisms of Palin’s family.

What would be illegal about offering the boyfriend cash to do gay porn? He’s 18 isn’t he?

Coming soon from the Franklin Mint ceramics division, and appearing on the mantel of your friendly neighborhood wingnut …

But if her husband is home with them, they are getting parental attention. I think that if it was a man running with the exact same situation, and his wife was home with the kids, no one would make comments about him needing to be home more.

But I am done defending her, anyway. I look forward to the debates.

I agree about this. I doubt it would occur to anyone to criticize a male candidate for running for office under the same conditions. Of course, the teen pregnancy might never have been brought to the fore, since no one would suspect the male candidate of pretending to be the mother of his grandchild.

But it seems to me that the criticism of Sarah Palin along these lines is coming from the “family values” voters who are supposed to be her base as much or more as it’s coming from the “leftists” who think she’s a horrible choice for other reasons.
