Please pray for my Grandmother

My grandmother is an 86 year old asthmatic. She collapsed this morning. No-one’s sure why. She’s on her way to the hospital now and I’m going to take a taxi up there in about 5 minutes. No-one’s sure what’s going to happen and it’s a very uncertain time for everyone. I would be really grateful if those of you who believe could hold my grandmother in your prayers and say a prayer for her recovery. I’m sure that it will help.

Thankyou

Neil.

Your grandmother and the rest of your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I hope everything is okay. Please let us know as soon as you can.

You got it. I’ll keep her in my best thoughts.

The Lord is with you and your grandmother now Voice. Our prayers are with you too.

Firstly I just want to thank everyone for their kind words and prayers. I’m really touched and if my grandma was able to read this at the moment she would be too.

Update:

Since yesterday morning things seem to have stabilised somewhat. The doctors have figured out what the problem was. She’s got a hitherto undiagnosed heart problem which resulted in a very low pulse rate. We still don’t know why this problem has never so much as hinted at its existance before but it’s definately here to stay now. The doctors have inserted a wire through a tube into her heart. This wire sends out a small electrical impulse every time her heart rate drops below about (I think) 50-60 beats per minute (the optimum rate should be around 80 beats per minute, it was 30 when she collapsed yesterday). That device will keep her steady until they fit her with a pacemaker. That should happen next week sometime. They’re keeping her in observation until then and running regular tests on her heart rate, blood pressure, lung capacity etc… So far the results have shown an inmprovement. Her lung capacity is excellent considering she’s had asthma for nearly 50 years and her blood pressure is very strong for someone in her condition. We are anticipating a slow but steady recovery. I’m going up to visit again this evening so if there are any developments I’ll let you know either tonight or tomorrow afternoon.

Once again, thank you so much for your prayers, kind thoughts and words.

Neil.

Hope all goes well. All the best.
