I’ve actually been told this before. I wouldn’t say that we spoil our animals (2 dogs, 2 cats) but they do hold a pretty esteemed position in this household. Besides, after all of this, I’m pretty sure he’ll need the protein
We took Jerry Lee into the animal hospital this morning as he’s not showing any signs of improvement, and hasn’t eaten, drunk, or slept since yesterday afternoon. The vet will put him on a drip and try to get his levels back up, which I’m hoping will work. She says the fact that he can still hold his head up is a good sign that things may be able to be turned around.
I’m sorry, this just struck me funny. Your puppy seemed to lose weight overnight, wouldn’t eat or drink, refused a T-bone steak, and you couldn’t coax him out from under a bush. Maybe it’s just me, but I think those are pretty strong signs something is wrong.
I’m sending bad vibes to the canine tick fever infection and good vibes for the puppy.
I’m not sure which part seems weird to you - both the vet and I had no doubt that there was something really wrong with him. kunilou, I saw the thread about your dog - I didn’t read it (for reasons I’m sure you understand) but let me say that I’m truly very sorry.
Brief update: The vet sent us an SMS last night and says that he’s showing signs of improvement - he’s a bit more alert, and has been wagging his tail, so fingers are crossed as tightly as possible that he’s on the mend.
