Please take a moment to look here - Post about a fantastic charitable organization

I’ve never done this before, but I asked permission and the admins have graciously allowed me to post this link to an organization that is doing fantastic work. Project2Heal is run by Charlie Petrizzo, who has a truly amazing story. He has faced incredible hardships in his life and was inspired by his own struggles to create a charity that raises and trains Labrador Retrievers to be used as service dogs and companions by children with special needs. Charlie lives near me and I’ve had the privilege of meeting him and hearing his story and his passion for his work in person. As dedicated as he is to his work, and as inspirational as he is when he tells his story, Charlie does not enjoy fundraising, as important as it is. With so many Dopers who are advocates of special needs children and who are pet lovers, I thought you might want to look at his website and if possible, donate something. I know times are tough and money is tight for everyone, but every little bit helps. Project2Heal is a small, family-run organization. Donations are accepted on the website. A documentary was made about Charlie’s life and Project2Heal and was shown at the Sundance Film Festival. Clips are on YouTube if you search for “Charlie’s Scars.” Thanks!

Shameless bump because it’s a worthy cause…

D’oh. Thanks for the information!

What does “draged” mean?

Charlie’s the fellow the Waxhaw Pub Crawl raises money for, isn’t he?

Yes, proceeds form t-shirt and koozie sales from our pub crawl this week are going to Project2Heal.

I just wanted to give you a small correction. The documentary was submitted to Sundance but wasn’t selected. It did show at the Asheville Cinema Festival and the Charlotte Film Festival.

Oh, thanks! My mistake. I appreciate the information.
