I do this with a Crow’s Foot
That way I don’t need to own a tool which has absolutely no other purpose. Crow’s Feet can be used for all sorts of stuff. Basin wrenches can only really be used in that specific application.
I successfully used a basin wrench. The Crow’s Foot Wrench might have worked but there was an awful lot of water deposit crud on the nut that made the teeth and increased clamping force of the basin wrench pretty helpful. It still was a total pain in the butt to get the damn nut off with all the pipes and the hose in nearly the same place.
Why didn’t you try using a basin wrench?
A basenji wrench is right out.
