Plumbing tool

The faucet at my kitchen sink needs to be replaced. It is held to the sink by a long bolt that has a nut over a large washer. This nut is really hard to turn because the sink and water pipe block my ability to get a wrench on it. There must be a tool for this problem what is the name of the tool so I know what to look for when I go to the hardware store Saturday morning.

i’ve got one out in my pickup truck.

its called a basin wrench.

I believe it is called a ‘Basin Wrench’

Perhaps a Basin Wrench?

Wanna borrow my basin wrench?

Must … resist … bad … Marianas Basin Wrench pun.

Thanks. I knew there was a tool for that.

I will have to remember to consult you tube before starting maintenance projects around the house. A video of someone doing the project looks like it will be really helpful.

Thanks

You guys are all wrong. He needs a basin wrench.

I asked my husband as he does home remodelling. He said what he needs to get is a Basin Wrench.

Not to be confused with a basic wench, which is something else entirely.

Or you could get a basin wench and have her pour the water from buckets.

ETA: I can’t believe tanstaafl beat me to that by seconds.

Before I even clicked on the thread I knew the answer was going to be “basin wrench”. I almost didn’t bother seeing as how there was already 11 replies so I was sure the question was already answered.

In Canada, it’s actually referred to as a basin wrench, eh?

It’s “Basin Wrench”, by Duran Duran.

Just don’t wander into a music store. They’ll try to sell you a bassoon wrench.

If you have granite countertops, you need a basalt wrench.

If you have brick fascia in your kitchen you require a mason wrench.

And make sure you subscribe to the ones that you really enjoyed - it’ll come in really handy for the next job you have to do, as the creator will likely have done ones on different projects. YouTube is a great source of DIY advice. (Watch several, to make sure they’re consistent before you find a source you trust.)

OP never mentioned a Basin!, I think he needs a Sink Wrench instead…
