In my user options I have the ‘enable private messages’ checked and I can send PMs but no one can send any to me:“Capybara has chosen not to receive private messages or may not be allowed to receive private messages. Therefore you may not send your message to him/her.” What am I doing wrong?
Not sure. Try setting it to off, logging off, then returning and setting it to on and see if that resets the system properly 
Did that clear it or are you still having problems?
Hmm. That didn’t do it. Clicking on my username now gives the apparent option (where after I’d switched it off it hadn’t) but still get an error if one actually tries it.
Thoughts?
Is your mailbox full by any chance? If you’re up against the limits maybe that’s part of the problem.
I’ll tell Jerry about this as well; the board had some problems over the weekend, maybe this is part of it, I dunno. But so far you’re the only person to complain about PM problems, so I’m at all sure what’s going on here.
Nah, I just have one sent message in there. I’ve never really done much with it before-- could have been a longstanding problem and I’d never have known.
The error message for a full mailbox is different from the one the OP is quoting.
