Had a pleasant little mini dopefest, with amarinth, Scotticher, AudreyK, KKB and special honored guest tisiphone. Amarinth had to do the quick drop by, so we (being amarinth, Scotticher and I) went to Starbucks for a quick latte and chat. After we returned to tisiphone’s hotel (to meet tisiphone, who was in a class) we were in the lobby, waiting for AudreyK and KKB, when who should walk through the lobby but
Dr Demento!!!
He’s in town, doing shows in Kirkland today (12/6) and tomorrow. He didn’t have time to chat, unfortunately, but he did answer when I hailed him, and seemed to be a (rushed) gentleman.
Then after AudreyK and KKB showed up (30 seconds after the good Dr.'s van pulled out), we all adjourned to the local Keg restaurant for a pleasant meal, and about 3 hours of chatting. Laid back and wonderful. Thanks again to Scotticher for setting up the Dopefest (and the wonderful ornaments!), and it was great to see everyone again, and to meet amarinth and tisiphone.
Tis - have a safe flight back to the Yukon. Your pictures of the area were fantastic - I have GOT to get up there someday!
