How about Bellingham or even Seattle Doper’s? Isn’t there someone in Victoria? They’re all a do-able distance for an evening, more or less.

Y’all should try Vij’s next time… it’s fantastic, if a little on the expensive side. They don’t take reservations but they have a nice lounge in the back where you can wait for a table and they serve free Chai and appitizers. It’s worth going just to wait for the table. 
Anyway, maybe I’ll be able to make it. We’re shipping the game I’m working on right now so things are totally up in the air. I never know if I’m going to have to work like a madman or if there’s nothing for me to do. Save a chair for me, though!

I see why I didn’t spot The Ryan - he mostly hangs out in Great Debates and the Pit. He doesn’t have an address in his profile, so I mailed an administrator to forward the invitation.
Well, Awana was cancelled yesterday and next week too… it’s the whole SARS outbreak, and parents are just taking precautions. (don’t want little kids potentially exposed to it… oh no!) Don’t worry, I think I’m clean… though having been exposed several times over to my friend Erin (whose father went to HK / China very recently), I don’t know!
By the way, any idea which bus I should take from Granville / Broadway to get to the restaurant? If you say “westbound”, would that be an Alma bus or a Boundary bus? (I’m very bad with directions like that, so more than likely I’ll be very late)
So I’ll just take the bus there, I guess… save you a fruitless trip, since I won’t be at the church anyhow! (unless you STILL want to do that… nah, just kidding) But save a chair for me in case I’m late… alternatively, I could show up way too early! Either way, I’ll make sure to have reading material on hand. (to read while waiting, not to read while eating… coz that would be rude)

Hmm… I don’t think the church site is designed THAT way! (if I knew who the webmaster was, I’d have a little chat with him) You sure you didn’t do anything funny? If you have an optical mouse, did you accidentally press the button on the side that takes you back through the pages you’ve already visited? (I do this all the time at my brother’s, and it drives me nuts)
Trading kid stories sounds great, zoogirl… of course, I’ll probably be boring everyone with stories of my favorite kid. (ask Larry Mudd… we met up last month to do something, and I went on and on… yikes…)

From Granville, take the Alma bus. The restaurant is only four blocks or so, so you could walk if you’re early.

If I’m really tired, it’s not because of you guys! Just decided to attend my friend Lauren’s surprise bridal shower which starts at 10:30 in Burnaby… think it ends at around 4 or so. But who knows? After a few hours relaxing at Chapters, I may be all good to go again into the night.
Definitely looking forward to this, though… now to decide just what to wear that’s appropriate for both a bridal shower and a nice dinner. (certainly not going all the way back to Richmond only to have to go out again!)

I got a phone call last night from my aunt in Langley. Turns out my cousin turns 25 tomorrow, and she and his wife are throwing a party on Saturday night.
Since I haven’t seen him since his wedding, I’ve gotta go to this family event and represent. Man, it’s like a 3-hour drive out to Langley
