Podcast recommendations please

The ones I regularly listen to are:

  • Office Ladies (about the U.S. tv show “The Office”)
  • Parks and Recollections (about “Parks & Recreation”)
  • The Always Sunny Podcast (about “Always Sunny in Philadelphia”)
  • Inside Conan (behind the scenes at Conan O’Brien’s talk shows)
  • Fly on the Wall (about “Saturday Night Live”)
  • Smartless
  • Planet Money (about economic news stories)
  • Scriptnotes (about screenwriting)
  • This American Life

One of my favourites that has now ended (but it still available) is “50 Things That Made The Modern Economy”.

History Extra, from the BBC, has interviews and discussions with historians on all sorts of topics. The historians tend to be British, often with a new book out.

The Dig is a long (up to 2 hours) interview podcast, from a left perspective. Ditto Doug Henwood’s Behind the News.

The CBC’s Ideas has been doing radio documentaries since 1965, on everything, science to mythology to food, you name it. Now as podcasts.
