Podcast suggestions...

When I run on the treadmill I need my Ipod because it can be so boring - but sometimes I am not in the mood for music.

Any other suggestions?

NPR has a good selection of podcasts, including movie reviews, book reviews, technology story of the day, trivia games, and a “most emailed stories” clip that usually runs about an hour and has all sorts of interesting stuff.

I like the Splendid Table podcasts for foodie stuff.

I occasionally listen to PC Gamer’s podcasts for gamer stuff.

Winecast talks about wine. They’re short, though - 10-20 min - so not so good for working out.

**Kevin Smith’s ** “Smodcast” is very good. It’s usually him and Scott Moser shooting the shit about various random topics. Similar to his “Evening with” talks as far the as storytelling aspect.

I’ll second the NPR podcasts… I enjoy This American Life, Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me, and Fresh Air.

If you ever read **Dan Savage’s ** “Savage Love” sex advice column, and you don’t mind frank talk about all things sex related, his Savage Love Cast is quite informative and entertaining.

Comedian **Doug Benson ** has a podcast called “I Love Movies” which is not being made anymore, but if you can find the ones he’s done, they’re really entertaining. He recorded them live at the UCB theater in LA and usually will have a fellow comic come on as a guest and they only talk about movies. They’re really really funny. My favorites are when he had **Paul F Thompkins ** or **Paul Scheer ** on.

If you’re into debate as a metal exercise, theres a guy that does the Princeton Review that takes everyday news clippings and applies LSTAT logic on them. I think it’s called LSTAT Logic in Everyday Life, and it’s much better than you’d immedietly think.

How 'bout giving us a few areas of interest or an idea of what you’re looking to listen too while running.

I like listening to podcasts on the treadmill, too. I listen to the podcast of Adam Carolla’s morning radio show, they put the entire show up (minus commercials) on Itunes the next day.

SomaCow is a podcast network based in Orlando, they have several different types of podcast shows: a chick show, a pop culture show, a guy talk show, a couple of music shows, etc. They are all very well-produced.

If you have a video iPod, The Midwest Teen Sex Show is teh hilarious.
