I like the episodic stories much better than the serialized ones - I didn’t finish the second season because I just wasn’t that interested in the larger story. I find the “wandering mystery solver” much more interesting. If they continue it, with or without a new actor, I hope they stick to episodic stories, like Columbo.
Unfortunately, to me the show is Natasha Lyonne, not Rian Johnson. I like Peter Dinklage, but the show isn’t that good that I’d get another subscription service for it. We also just canceled our Peacock subscription with a plan to pick it up in July for the Tour de France.
It’s funny that you say that, because this show was about the only reason I subscribed to Peacock – I just subscribed for a few months to watch season 2, then canceled.
If season 3 happens to land on a streaming service I already subscribe to, I’ll probably watch it, but with the change in casting I don’t think I’ll subscribe to a new service just to watch it.
I agree that Natasha Lyonne is part of the appeal. If it comes back with Peter Dinklage, perhaps it will work well but I enjoyed her in the role.
I think someone got their wires crossed and Dinklage will not be Charlie Cale specifically but a different character, presumably with the same ability, or maybe not even that.
No, he would be playing the same character. The idea is to change the lead actor every two years.
Well that doesn’t sound like a good idea. The series isn’t big enough to survive a weird mechanic like that.

As it is, the series did poorly on Peacock and was cancelled, so unless another network or streaming service else picks it up, it’s done.
