I’ve taken up poker recently. I’ve always had a general interest, but my brief forays into the game when younger (Five Card Draw), led me to believe that there was not quite as much skill involved as I was led to believe. There seemed to be to much chance for my taste. So my experience with it has mostly been with the gambling routines I delveloped for my profession. But recently I began taking a greater interest. I’ve been watching poker tournaments, reading books on the subject, and even started a home game. I really like Hold 'em, and even Seven Card Stud. A lot more skill seems to goes into the game. There are a lot more variables and clues to make judgments calls. Love it.
But I need more time at the table.
My budget at the moment is not such that I can afford the learning curve at the local casinos. I realize that online play is not quite the same as a live game, with the lack of visual feedback from your opponents, but it would go a long ways to improving my game I think. Anyone have suggestions on a good Online Poker Room? ( A FREE poker room…?)
