A candidate for the Pennsylvania state legislature stands accused… of being straight?
This one is too weird for words. I mean, ASSUMING the guy is just pretending to be gay or bi… wouldn’t it be easier just to run in a different district?

Well, this is the Straight Dope.
I’ve been using this phrase around the house for a few weeks. At first I thought I was going to be able to start a movement to replace the “that’s so gay” thing - but so far all I’ve been able to do is annoy my wife (which is incentive enough to continue).
This reminds me of a case I read of in the German papers - if I rightly recollect, in the early 1980s.
A left-wing Berlin paper alluded that it were an open secret that a certain prominent Christian Democrat city councillor was heterosexual.
The politician had his lawyer issue a strongly worded denial and threaten a lawsuit.
It turned out that the politician and his lawyer did not know what that word means.
