Poll: Coffee - Yay or Nay?

As I noted in this thread Script Frenzy begins in a couple of weeks. And in order to make my movie script at least somewhat plausable, I’ve been gathering statistics. The 2000 census has helped a lot for population #s, but the coffee drinker stats are all over the map! According to various polls 51% or maybe 80% of adults drink coffee. That’s surpremely unhelpful.

Hence a poll for dopers. Please respond no matter if you’re a coffee drinker or not. I need both numbers!

Yes, every morning when I have to go to work.

I never drink coffee after 6pm, unless I want to be up much later than normal.

Sometimes I will drink coffee in the afternoons when I am at home and feeling really tired (I wish I were at home having some coffee right now).

Wifey does not drink it either, but does drink loads of green tea. She’s way, way over 60s too, and female, last I looked.

No, can’t stand the taste, although I like the smell of good espresso-style java much better than Dad’s old burnt Folger’s.
40 this month.
Female.

(I have no kids, but I’m married to Javahead Jones (in his 50s). He drinks my share and then some. I’d say he makes himself at least one latte/espresso combo at home every day. Probably no coffee at or to/from work, but on the weekends if we’re out and about we’ll likely stop for at least a latte for him and a chai for me. That’s in addition to his morning/evening java at home.)

My mother (60s) drinks coffee occasionally, but only with a whole lot of creamer. My dad (also 60s) drinks his black.

Yes, more or less daily.

20s.

Female.

Yes, 1-2 cups daily.
Female, 18-20s.

Other parent drinks same amount.

Yes, 3-4 large 10oz cups/day, plus an occasional cappuccino. I home roast.

Sixty-two years old.

Yes, my ex drinks Folgers, iirc. Does that count as coffee?

Do I win? :stuck_out_tongue:
