Let’s say one cup is roughly 12 ounces so if you drink one of those giant travel mugs that is probably two cups at least.
On a typical work day:
- A 20oz cup I buy at the coffee shop at the train station
- Probably two cups in my oversized mug at the office (which probably holds about 20oz, as well)
Zero. I hate coffee. So does my wife Pepper Mill, so the sum of all the coffee we drink for a year is zero.
Oddly, though, our daughter MilliCal loves coffee. I have no idea how much she drinks. I have no idea where kids get this stuff. Probably her grandmother, who drinks enough for all of us.
Zero for me. I’ll have a Starbucks occasionally (when I’m passing-out tired) but that’s once or twice a month, but that doesn’t really work for the poll.
That’s because you’re a tea drinker, obviously!!
I counted a Red Bull on my way home from work as 1 cup, or I guess it should be two (16 oz Red Bull).
1 to 2. One in the morning and maybe a second cup in the afternoon. Otherwise, I supplement with water or tea.
I measured mine in quarts instead of cups. Still came up more than 5.
Same here. What I do have is about 3/4 of a kilo of pure anhydrous caffeine. Roughly the equivalent of 1-1.5 cups.
Never liked coffee. I do drink 2-3 cups of tea per day.
And you’ve discovered the biggest irony of all…
…I don’t actually like tea!
Balls. I voted before reading the OP.
At least one (1) eight ounce cup daily since I was about 7. I liked it, my parents thought it was cute.
By my late teens I was up to three to five eight-ounce cups daily, where I remain fifty years later.
I’ve heard a cup is 5-6oz. Of course technically a cup is 8oz, but when using those disposable styrofoam cups, most people only put 5-6oz in them.
Anyway I drink about 24oz of decaf coffee a day. I can’t drink caffeine due to an anxiety disorder but I like the taste of coffee, and it may have health benefits.
I drink Zero Coffee and Zero Hot Tea.
Will drink Ice Tea (no Ice Coffee)
The only Hot Beverage I drink is Hot Chocolate, but that is very RARE, probably been more than a year.
I voted “0,” but it’s more like 1/2 a cup a day. I probably have a coffee every other or third day, on average. There are weeks I’ll drink it daily and weeks I won’t drink it at all.
The line on the Mr. Coffee says 8. I think that’s measuring with a small oz. to cup standard. Certainly not 12 oz. servings. I drink that in the morning before I leave for work, then no more coffee the rest of the day. Weekends that amount of coffee may take hours to drink, or I may just have a few leisurely cups of tea instead.
I make an 8-cup pot of coffee most days and drink most of it.
Of course, those are 6-oz cups, because that’s how coffee pots tend to be measured. And my wife drinks one mug of that, so like maybe 10 oz, leaving me about 38 oz, and I might waste a few ounces each day.
YOUR POLL IS CONFUSING!
I said 3-5 cups a day, but I didn’t read the 12-oz benchmark :). I barely reach that, or else voted wrong.
I love my coffee. I actually tracked my coffee intake for my doc not long ago, and I averaged 2.4 L (~81 oz) of coffee per day over a thirty day period. I drink more during the work week, and less on weekends.
For the record, both my doctor and I agree that this is too much (it worked out to over 1000 mg of caffeine daily during the week), and I’m trying to cut down. But I do love my coffee …
Pretty much zero now. I will have a cup once a month or something.
There was a time where I was drinking like 8 cups a day though.
Now I prefer water.
lets see, 12 oz while getting ready for work, 20 oz on the way to work and for the first half of the morning, none after that till I get home from work, ummm, 6 oz times…carry the 5…I drink about a pot and a half, maybe two, mostly in the evening.
