Who's the most caffeinated person on the SDMB?

Because I’m just wondering. And it ain’t me. My consumption is about four teas and one coffee. So who should we welcome as our new hyper-caffeinated overlord? Bonus points if you’re so jittery you can no longer spell.

I drink a pot (‘10 cups’) of French Roast every morning. Afternoons are for tea. One small pot, or almost three mugs.

When, on the rare occasions I actually go to a Starbucks, I’ll get a ten-shot espresso with eight sugars.

Two oversized mugs of coffee a day (about a half a pot), and usually at least a liter of Mountain Dew or Diet Pepsi at night. I don’t know how I squeeze in my forty-five minutes of sleep every night.

I usually drink a pot of cofee before I leave for work in the morning, then an additional 3 to 5 1/2 litre cups once I’m in the office - I guess that equates to another 10- to 12-cup pot. About once a week, I’ll have a caffein-induced anxiety attack. Not fun. I also suffer from insomnia, no doubt from all the caffein. And I make a lot of trips to the loo.

Winston, allow me to be the first to say holy shit! You’re not lying about your location, I’ll note.

Ha!

Hey, I just noticed your location - we must be neighbors!

Four or five cans of Diet Coke and a couple large coffees a day when I’m at work. Sleeping is for weekends. Or, weekends are for sleeping. whatever. can’t be bothered to go back and fix it, it’s easier just to keep typing until the window fills up with text…

I’ll match Winston Smith pot for pot. A strong cup of coffee is my nightcap. No anxiety, no insomnia, no jitters.

Up until very recently, it was a pot of coffee to get to Starbucks, 4 shot latte, to get to work, where I drank more coffee until noon, where I switched to Coke. I would then hit Starbucks on the way home for another 4 shot, come home and fire up the coffee pot for dinner. Sometimes I would go to Starbucks for one more right before bed. When I lived on the East Coast, replace Starbucks with Dunkin Donuts and I would get what they call the “Great One”. I Miss DD. Never a shake, never a twitch, no sleeping problems. But if I slow down my intake, I will get a wicked headache in the afternoon.

I’m nearly caffeine-free nowadays (I had a diet Coke for lunch today, which is rare), but for a while I’d make a mug full of espresso in the morning, and maybe a few more later in the day. Dunno how many shots that equals.

If I did that now my heart would explode, and I’d have a week-long anxiety attack.

That’s one thing I can’t do. I usually don’t drink any cofee after 1500. And if you don’t get anxiety, insomnia, or jitters then what’s the sense in drinking cofee in the first place? Hmm? :dubious:

I drink five or six cans of diet cherry pepsi a day, so I’m no candidate, but I did want to point out this website.

Death by Caffeine with which you can see just how many of your favorite caffeinated drink it would take to kill you.

I was drinking about 4-6 cans of Diet Coke/Diet Mountain Dew a day. The for the last couple of months, I have been on sick leave for balance problems, so that increased to probably 8-10 a day. Or I would drink a couple of 2 litres so I didn’t have to get up so often.

Then yesterday I was starting my physical therapy to correct my inner ear problems and was told that I have permanent nerve damage and damage to the balance organs and the excess caffeine I have been drinking for the last 25 years has probably contributed to it by restricting the blood flow. So I need to cut my caffeine intake to 1 can a day. :frowning:

I am going to taper my intake off, to avoid the worst of the withdrawal symptoms, so yesterday was 2 cans. 1 so far today, will have another later tonight. Something to look forward to. :stuck_out_tongue:

All right. I’ll play, too.

I have two cups (14oz) every morning before heading to work.

I have three cups (12oz) before lunch at work.

I drink water from noon until 2:00pm

At 2:00pm, when the afternoon nap wants to claim me, I’ll fight it off with two or three cups. (12oz)

I don’t drink coffee after 4:00pm… unless I want to.

Every year, I give up coffee for Lent. I have no idea how you non-coffee drinkers can stand that perma-haze you must spend you days going through.

]I started on coffee a few generations before birth. My coffee use has gone up and down over the years.
I’m down to a pint to a quart of espresso a day.
I prefer turkish coffee w/o the sugar, but my grinder won’t grind it finely enough and I hate to wait, so it’s espresso for me.
When I worked at an espresso bar I ate beans by the spoonful.

The addition of a hot milk/ milk product is an acceptable practice. Artificial creamers are immoral. Nut flavors are merely irresponsible. Sugar is also borderline sinful. It’s blasphemous to add fruit or fruity flavors to coffee.
The sound of The Beans grinding is the sound of the Universe being created.

I I I I I I I I AM!!!

I can’t compete on quantity, but I did enjoy Turkish Coffe from Morocco when 4.5 years old.

I’ve had the coffee habit since I was 5 or so. I was curious about what my mom was drinking every morning. Love the stuff, to the tune of 1-2 pots a day. In the fall/winter, add a pot or two of tea every evening.

Mmm caffeine-licious.
