POLL: Do you still carry your CDC COVID vaccination card?

Camino? Perhaps

In March my wife and I went to Vegas to see Adele. They sent emails beforehand saying proof of vaccine was required, but at the show they never actually checked.

I carry mine but it’s mostly because it’s already in my wallet and I tend to rarely clear out unnecessary stuff from there.

Canadian here and yes, I do, though it’s on my phone. And my wife and I are getting our 2nd booster/6th shot in a week.

Had my Bivalent booster in the fall, Ontario is not recommending another booster for most people under 65 until at least Sept ‘23.

I had to upload mine to a website provided by my employer. And when we went to Puerto Rico in November 2021, lots of places were checking cards at the door (mostly restaurants, even outdoor ones). I was totally fine with that. I’ve left the physical card in my wallet, mostly out of inertia. There are also copies in my Apple Wallet, my Dropbox account, and the Health app on my phone, which interfaces with the hospital system where all my providers are. Also if I log into my Walgreens account or my electronic medical record, my vaccination info is there too.

I never carried it. The only time it came out of the drawer was when I got a booster and when I went to NYC when the restrictions just started to ease. Proof of vaccination was required everywhere and since I wasn’t a NY resident I didn’t have the app.

I just got asked this weekend to demonstrate I’d been vaccinated. I showed the guy at the desk the photo on my phone of my vax card, he stamped the back of my hand, and i went to the next line to buy a ticket to the crowded dance event.

It also required high quality masks. (N95, kn95, or kf94).

I just got a message from my health care that I am overdue for a booster. I thought I had done all the newest but I guess they have another. And probably want to use up their supply before it gets out of date.
I don’t carry my card but will dig it out to take it in. There is no more room on the card to write.

I got the second bivalent shot in late April, but I didn’t bring my card in nor did the pharmacist ask about it. This time I only downloaded it to the wallet in my phone a few days later. Hope it doesn’t bite me in the ass, but as everyone here is observing, I’ve never been asked to show a card.

Mine’s folded up in my wallet, and I forgot about it - so yeah; I spotted it the other day when digging for something else rarely-used.

Supposedly I can go to a website run by my state to print out my vaccination record; I had a PDF of it a while back, but I don’t know if the site is still working, and whatever I had predated the last booster.

Hah: I checked, and I CAN still access / download it. It has all 5 doses (the 2 original, the first booster, the second booster, and then the bivalent one I had a couple months after we all caught the actual virus). I’ve now saved it in my Dropbox.

None of the above. I was vaccinated, but never carried the card. I think it’s here in one of my desk drawers.

I never carried it, except when traveling internationally. It’s with my passport.

I think my mother has it in her purse.

It’s no longer up to date, though. I got my fourth coof shot when I was in the psych hospital and not lucid.

I forgot about the card, and it feels like everyone else did too. It’s in my wallet but I wasn’t asked to show it so it can be updated the last 3 boosters I’ve gotten.

The social-contract role of the vaccination card has gone away. The last time I can recall being asked to show proof of COVID vaccination to engage in a public event was in October 2021.

My last two shots I brought my cards, but they neither wanted to see them nor add anything to them.

I actually went to a “vaccination required” event a week ago (it also required masks) but due to complexities about my ticket, they forgot to ask me to price i was vaccinated. My friends had to show proof of vaccination, though.

That being said, I’ve never carried the card. I photographed it early on, and have shown the photo on my phone when i needed to demonstrate vaccination.

Was this an event open to the public? Or a private event?
