Because it is a plain and obvious fact that there is no topic relating to which people routinely lie more than sex and sexuality. Complete honesty when it comes to sex is very rare, especially when it comes to admitting to a homosexual encounter, no matter how minor and no matter how far distant in time.
On the contrary, they are extremely high, at least during adolescence. While I’m led to believe that my experiences were on the far end of the spectrum, while an adolescent I had at least one homosexual experience with just about every single adolescent boy in my neighborhood! (more than a dozen of them). Furthermore, most of these other boys had homosexual encounters with most of the other boys in the neighborhood, too. Now, statistics and the law of averages tells us that the vast majority of these boys both then and now consider themselves to be totally straight. More to the point, I’m quite certain that very, very few of these now-straight men would EVER admit to what they had once done! They would post here adamantly proclaiming “no, male, straight”. Thus, my posts here expressing some doubts that every single male contributor is being completely candid.
But it is not my intent to try to prove my point. I simply wanted to express my doubts and to explain why I tended to doubt the accuracy of the results. But, as I said in my previous post, I would indeed stand corrected if the totals show a sufficiently large number of straight men who admit that they had at least one homosexual encounter, and that may well be the case.
I strongly suspect you are correct about that. But I insist that they would be completely mistaken to not count them. The OP made no mention of an age or time limit.
Wow! I hugely respect your candor! I certainly hope you’re not putting yourself at risk by admitting that even once a long, long time ago in a country far, far away you were “with” another male. May Allah protect you, my friend.
