Don’t be ridiculous, ambushed. I’d be perfectly willing to post it if I was a “yes”. Why not just take people for their word? In my opinion, the opportunities for straight people to randomly have a homosexual experience are low. I would guess that straight guys who are curious fall into approximately three categories: 1) had a homosexual experience and realized they were bi (as we’ve seen much in this thread). 2) had a homosexual experience and decided they were still straight (as we’ve seen much in this thread as well). 3) never had the chance to try. Frankly, it’s not like you get a beer in a few straight guys and they start going at it. I’ve been in a number of experiences where if the two participants had been of concordant orientations it would probably be an “okay, let’s make out now” moment, but nothing occurred.

Anyway, I’m sure you’ll view this lengthy explanation as defensive, but so many people have chimed in with “yes” I can’t believe you’ve even doubt the answers.

Frankly, I dunno. It just seems to me to go against the probabilities based on the widely held view that adolescent homosexual experiences are quite common. On the other hand, I haven’t totalled the responses either, so I may well be entirely off base.

I suspect many people don’t consider adolescent homosexual experiences to count in the context of this thread.

I recall another thread that was not a poll in which lots and lots of guys came out of the woodwork to demand unequivocally that they had never, EVER had even the most innocuous hint of a gay thought or act in their entire lives. Why did these men volunteer (as you put it) to post so emphatically about something they were not even asked about? Why go to the trouble to post at all in that case?

Well…in case you see an attractive doper babe at a dopefest (and they are quite attractive even if far away) , or have met one at dopefest or dope gathering you might like to get to know better it sets the record straight, and if you think a hetero woman possibly interested in you won’t remember that x months ago you had a post about a single, never again gay experience in college, when you were drunk … well you have another think coming. Women have a special Post-it Note sections in their brains for that kind of info.

What?!

So having sexual contact with a member of the same sex is not actually homosexual activity unless you’re thinking “wow, I’m gay?” So much for the whole “spectrum” of sexuality, in that case. No offense but this is a bad definition. The OP wants to know if people have had sexual experiences with members of their own gender.

I guess I was trying to reassure people that activity which is technically homosexual, does not a homosexual make.
