1 )I’m a man.
2 )Not that I can recall.
3 )Nope.
4 )Nope.
While I don’t remember ever being babysat by a man other than family members, I myself have babysat a few kids that weren’t family (albeit mostly older kids), and interestingly enough, all but one of those were little girls. When I was a teenager, there were a few times I’d babysit my parents’ best friends daughters when they were little (10 and 12 years younger than me), as I’ve always been a kid at heart and loved to play with them. BTW, I ran into them a few years ago at a mutual friends’ wedding, and they both ran up to me and gave me a big hug, and they’re both now married with kids of their own.
In college, there was a gal I dated for a little while (an absolute BABE, in fact) who was a single mom, and one Sunday afternoon after church, she called me and asked if I’d come over and babysit her kids while she took a nap, and I said sure. Her daughter was 5 at the time and her son was 1. Sadly to say, this ex-girlfriend of mine passed away 10 years ago, although I have her daughter, who’s now a college student herself, as a friend on Facebook.
And, most recently, our best friends from church, back in April of this year, they asked me if I could babysit their two younger daughters (ages 8 and 10) and one of their nieces (age 9). They’re just like family to us, and those three, who are just like nieces to me, all consider me to be an adopted uncle to them, and I love to spoil 'em rotten, dote on 'em, and if a situation arose where I ever had to do so, I would literally lay down my life for them.
As a Christian, at no time have I ever even thought of trying anything funny, because 1) I had a youth minister when I was growing up who taught me well that anything of a sexual nature is to be STRICTLY between husband and wife and nothing less than that, 2) I’ve read a few news stories about child sexual abuse and the psychological damage it causes to the victims, and that is something I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy, and 3) I genuinely love others and want to honor the Lord with my life.
