I didn’t catch Sunday’s ‘60 Minutes’ but I understand Ed Bradley cited a poll done by al-Jazeera. Most people I spoke to who saw the show say that the showed that 80% of Arabs consider the US the enemy. But one person is saying that the poll showed that 80% approved of the terrorist attacks.
I have been searching on the internet, but I can’t seem to nail down what poll was cited. Can anybody enlighten me?
Let me clarify both the question and they type of information I am looking for.
I want to know if the poll said that 80% of Arabs believe the US to be the enemy in a general sense or if it said that 80% of Arabs approve of the specific acts of terrorism of 9/11.
I would like to hear from anybody who saw the segment so they can at least tell me their recollection. Of course, if anybody can provide a link to the data, that would be great.
If you can find this it would also be useful to have something a little more meaningful in the demographics than “Arabs”. Arabs from where? The West Bank? Detroit? Saudi Arabia? Syria? Egypt?
Unfortunately, I don’t have anything more specific than “a poll of Arabs” to go on. I’ve heard things second-hand. And, thanks for the link, but the 60 Minutes site doesn’t have any info.
