PM me-I’ve got a scholarship program.
Biophysicist. Or expert in Russian literature. It’s a toss-up, really. Third place is playwrite/screenwriter/novelest in the Tom Stoppard vein.

Journalism.
Or, possibly, physics.
Philosophy.
Writing. I’m constantly thinking up cool story concepts. Problem is I have no idea of how to fill an entire novel with it.
I’d love to go to medical school, but unless your reboot comes with talent at math and science, I’ll have to pass–and stick with the major I’ve got now.
Viticulture and enology. I passed up the chance at this once and I’ m still kicking myself. I looked into getting a masters and they only will take you if you have your undergraduate degree in an agriculture subject. I have a friend who got into it he is now a cellar master at a winery in Seattle and makes decent money works good hours. His job is so good I volunteer when ever I’m in town.
What’s the career that involves book restoration? That’s one of my life’s greatest regret - not taking that class in college so I could see if it was something I wanted to keep on doing.
Alternatively, woodworking. Power tools ftw.
Would I be granted the talent to succeed at my choice?
Yes? Um, porn star.
No? Um, porn star.
The design of fictional worlds has been my dream career for 15 years. I even wrote an essay about it. (Warning! 1995-era web design! Use sunglasses!)
I’ve dabbled in cartooning, screenwriting, classical animation, drawing, video editing, all in attempts to get closer to world design. But classical animation turned out to be ‘acting on paper’, and that wasn’t what I wanted to do. There was a position called ‘layout designer’ that did the backgrounds for cartoons, which involved designing the worlds and specifying artifacts, but the school did not have that as a specialty and I chose to go back to work. I’d like to learn some 3D programs like Blender and Poser and AutoCAD (see below) as well. I’d like to create my own worlds, embodied in artwork that brings hope to the world.
My other small career is the design of solar-powered houses. I’ve actually helped out on building them, and have some architectural background, and am learning AutoCAD. This is my backup plan.
Meanwhile, I continue to work in the field of electronics. But who knows how long that will last? I avoided getting laid off today. I’m in Survival Mode now.
Theoretical physics. I’m not very good at math though, so it might take awhile.
