Poll: What do you think of Obama?

I voted “not doing as much as I’d hoped”. One of my expectations when voting for him was that he would clean up the financial system. Yet his core financial team is loaded up with Goldman Sachs vets and other Wall Street loyalists - which explains why the trading of spurious, over-leveraged securities and derivatives picked right back up (albeit at a lower pace), with little to no expansion of oversight or regulation.

Aside from financial reform - as it stands, I’m very disappointed in the final state of the health care “reform” bill. Despite the labels the Teabaggers throw around, to call the recent HCR bill at all “socialist” is laughable without a significant public option.

Two things that have lowered my opinion of him:

He’s continued Bush’s two wars.

He’s approved drilling off the east coast and Gulf of Mexico, despite the fact that it won’t lower cost of gasoline and won’t reduce our dependency on foreign oil.

I was joking, given yesterday was the first  If the 2012 election comes down between Obama and Palin, I’m not voting at all for the first time since I’ve been old enough to.

Yeah, I have been a bit disappointed in Obama, but really, when I take a step back and look, it doesn’t seem he is doing so bad. The politics can be really annoying, but Lord help us, we did not need 4 more years of Bush policies. So, Obama is in there pitching. Guess we need to give him a little more time.

Oh, duh. :smack: But, uh… haven’t you only been old enough to vote for the last two or three elections?
