The nation’s never going to recover if we just pull farther away from each other. Your attitude doesn’t help. Most of the people voting Republican are gulled by right-wing media and cynical assholes who are misleading and preying on them, and aren’t assholes at heart.

The Republicans have been blatantly evil for a long time; anyone who votes for them is an enemy of humanity. They vote Republican because they want to hurt everyone else as much as possible, as often as possible, because that’s what the Republicans stand for.

And there won’t be any recovery, ever.

There are too many people who voted Republican to disenfranchise and too many to disregard or otherwise ignore.

They have to be engaged if there’s any hope of reconciliation and anything other than division and acrimony. Their minds aren’t going to change themselves either.

So you feel free to be bitter and angry, but I’m choosing to try to work toward reconciliation.

Never happen. Either they kill or enslave all of us (and then start on the rest of humanity), or we suppress them hard enough to keep them from doing too much damage in the future. Probably the former. There will never be any “reconciliation” because they want to kill or enslave everyone not a carbon copy of themselves. Nor will they ever change.
