POLL: Yea, Nay, or Something else- Trump will bulldoze the entire White House to the ground

I voted that he would bulldoze it to the ground although my feeling is that he won’t go that far. Having demolished the East Wing, and made the beautiful Rose Garden into a tacky outdoor coffee shop patio, I can’t help thinking that his next idea would be that the remaining parts of the building don’t live up to his vision of the ballroom. That means he’ll have to “redesign” the rest of the property to meet his expectations.

I would really hope that he gets booted out of office sooner rather than later so that he sees all of his desecrations removed, and the building restored to its former glory. As a Brit, I feel very lucky to have visited and seen the White House before he got his dirty mitts on it, sadly I also feel that once he’s out, the building will forever be tarnished and tainted by his stain.

The land below MAL is coquina, which is not as solid as other limestone and is porous which lets in the extremely close water table. Therefore, according to google at least, basements are very rare in Palm Beach but some “waterfront mansions” have them. So yeah, he’ll probably make his bunker on the cheap and therefore easily flooded.

You are correct in the first part of your sentence: The nation is never going to recover, but I think it is your attitude that is part of the problem and not helpful. A large percentage of Americans are fascist and your constant accommodating of their fascism, your incessant excuse making for their fascism and your sympathy for their fascism is why we collapsed.

It’s a little like the old saw about how if you owe the bank $1000, you have a problem, but if you owe the bank 1 million dollars, the bank has a problem.

There are too many people who voted Republican to disenfranchise and too many to disregard or otherwise ignore.

They have to be engaged if there’s any hope of reconciliation and anything other than division and acrimony. Their minds aren’t going to change themselves either.

So you feel free to be bitter and angry, but I’m choosing to try to work toward reconciliation.

Personally, I have no hope of “reconciliation.” Division and acrimony is our fate

Poor little buggers just can’t help themselves.

It’s not their minds that need to change. It’s the minds of all the white non-Trump voters who keep trying to appease the fascists and delude themselves that Trumpers are ever going to change. You people have been an anchor around our necks and your refusal to see the depth of the problem is what killed us. The question isn’t how we heal the country (we don’t); it’s what do we do now that the largest military in history is in the hands of a fascist cult and how do we go about bringing the US down without killing everyone on the planet?

He’ll likely change the columns to Corinthian, maybe reupholster the couches in the Oval Office to rich Corinthian leather. The columns would be fancier and his decor preference is that nothing can be too fancy or too gilded.

I hope the successor tears out the helicopter pad and the presidential walk of fame, or at the very least hire neutral historians to summarize each portrait and of course replace that childish autopen portrait. Of course the Rose Garden should be rebuilt and his dumbass concrete be removed.

The Epstein Diversion Ball Room should be torn down and the East Wing rebuilt as it was. Take all the trailer trash gold shit off the Oval Office walls and make a big bonfire of it. Then take an industrial size barrel of holy water and exorcise any demonic aura that remains.

The helipad is actually needed because the new Marine One fleet (Sikorsky VH-92 Patriot helicopters) have exhaust vents that point down and scorch the White House lawn. And Sikorsky parent company Lockheed Martin has agreed to pay for the helipad, to be built of granite, “the strongest stone” and with “the seal of the White House on it in granite, in carved granite.”

Then we have to name it for Obama or Biden

Isn’t that a fancy name for “pleather”?

As in, “I enjoy the pleather of your company”?

Seems to me it would be cheaper to wet down the grass before the helicopter lands than to install a helipad. Helos have been landing on the South Lawn for decades now, so now all of a sudden it’s a BFD? And why go through the expense of carving the presidential seal in granite? Seems like an ill-timed extravagance in these tough times.

As I said, Sikorsky is paying for the helipad.

Color me unimpressed. Lockheed will likely get some no-bid contracts out of this with some kickbacks into DJT’s crypto account.

And whose decision was it to buy helicopters that burn up the lawn?

Here’s my prediction. Trump’s next beautification project will be the Lincoln Memorial. where he will encase Lincoln’s statue with gold leaf.

Because Lincoln was a great president. Most people don’t even know that he’s a Republican. Does anyone know? A lot of people don’t know that. Nobody ever heard of it until Trump came along.

The Sikorsky division of Lockheed Martin already had the contract for the new Marine One helicopters. (Though they make the best helicopters. And I am not biased by the fact that they are local.)

Another of trump’s specialities.

The Republicans have been blatantly evil for a long time; anyone who votes for them is an enemy of humanity. They vote Republican because they want to hurt everyone else as much as possible, as often as possible, because that’s what the Republicans stand for.

And there won’t be any recovery, ever.

Never happen. Either they kill or enslave all of us (and then start on the rest of humanity), or we suppress them hard enough to keep them from doing too much damage in the future. Probably the former. There will never be any “reconciliation” because they want to kill or enslave everyone not a carbon copy of themselves. Nor will they ever change.

Are we taking bets on them cheaping out on the quality/thickness of the granite, or the foundation, leading to the whole thing cracking after a few days or weeks of actual use?
