Man, this is about the most ridiculous, hyperbolic screed from you yet, and that’s saying something.
No, it’s a simple statement of what the Right has always wanted. A major reason why we are in our present situation is that so many people have tried so hard to deny that. To pretend that they are well meaning, reasonable people we can “compromise” and be “bipartisan” with. And again and again they’ve taken advantage of that delusion to gain more power and hurt people, because that is what they care about.
They want a “Day of the Rope” where they can kill us all.
Followed by the usual “It was vandals who damaged that Helipad by cutting 300 foot gashes in it with their pocket knives!”
Again and again, the people around here who have proven wrong are the moderates who keep saying that it’s not that bad. Look at where we are now, ten years later. America is a dystopian shithole and you all act like it’s nothing that a little paint won’t fix.
Will Trump desecrate the Statue of Liberty before January 20, 2029?
- Yes
- No
The people who have been proven wrong were the ones saying back in 2016 that Trump would do things like commit genocide or legalize slavery or start a nuclear war. It’s ten years later and Trump hasn’t done any of those things.
So why should we believe these people when they make the same claims in 2026?
Will trump desecrate the Library of Congress before January 20, 2029?
No need for a poll. I say yes.
Will Trump desecrate Natalie Harp before January 20, 2029?
- Yes
- No
- You mean again?
You’re an idiot. Weren’t you the guy who didn’t understand why people would plant victory gardens during the huge supply chain disruptions of WWII?
No, I’m the guy who asked how victory gardens worked and if there was a process for distributing the food that was produced and how it affected rationing.
I suppose I could live my life just assuming I know everything but I feel that could lead to problems.
Not genocide but perhaps hundreds of thousands of people are dead because of cuts to the budget of the United States Agency for International Development.
I was promised by several posters that, by this point, being LGBTQ would be illegal in all 50 states, we’d be nuking Africa, the armed conquest of Canada would be complete, there would be mass public executions of Democratic politicians, and this board would have been shut down and we’d all be in labor camps.
Instead, we’re living in the paradise of the second Trump administration, with America the hottest most respected nation on Earth.
Uhboy, this again. Can we all agree that things are wayyyyyyy shittier than they should be, but not as bad as they could be (like the predictions)?
I’ve joked that the only future debate on Donald Trump is whether he’ll be regarded as the worst President America ever had or the worst two Presidents America ever had.
My childhood friend is very hurt and offended that I call him (directly and by association) a fascist and a Nazi. If he doesn’t want to be called a fascist, all he has to do is stop being one.
It may not matter in the … short run. DJT is destroying the USA. That we know and see. The GOP cowards also the Dems are not standing up to him. He’s insane. That we know.
Nice typo. ![]()
It can be argued that the Lincoln route led to the problems we have today. We need to eradicate fascism, the way Germany did after WWII.
I wouldn’t mind seeing California, Oregon, Washington (at least the parts west of the mountain ranges), and Hawaii secede and form their own country. By the rules, of course; not through armed conflict. Hell, the Red states would probably cheer and yell, ‘Don’t let the door hit you in the ass on your way out!’
Colorado here. We are freaking surrounded by these idiot MAGAs. Colorado is pretty cool but I have my eye on certain areas.
They think that everyone that is against faciststs can’t defend themselves. That would be incorect.
Hey, New Mexico’s got your back, but yeah, we’re pretty deep in enemy territory.
