You are a homeowner and you want to hang Christmas lights along the front of your home. You purchase a set. You have to manually screw in every light bulb - the large, old-school type - into its socket yourself. You do so, alternating colors: red, white, green, orange, blue, red, white, etc.
After this prep, you go outside, grab your ladder, ascend, and start attaching the string to the gutter. About halfway through, something catches your eye. You realized that, in one section, your color pattern is out of order. Correcting this would require changing socket position of about 20 bulbs.
Do you swap the bulbs so they are in the proper order, or leave as is?
I would leave as is, are you kidding me?
I would leave as it, but it would bother me a bit.
I dunno, I might leave them, I might swap them, it depends on circumstances
I would probably swap them
I would absolutely right this wrong, what am I, a barbarian?
I wouldn’t even have paid attention to the color pattern to begin with
There’s going to be new remakes of these old TV shows. They are all cast with good actors that you respect. Which would you be most interested in seeing?
(A video that is being highly watched in China right now):
You are in a parking lot when you suddenly spot, very far off, a car that looks a lot like your spouse’s, and it looks like your spouse may be talking to someone who looks like an affair partner. The two of them are standing outside the car. It’s far enough that you can’t be sure - might even be mistaking for someone else - but it does look like what’s going on. What do you do?
Start filming on your smartphone and sprint over to them at once
Take photos from a distance but do not intervene; plan to indirectly confront spouse later that evening at home
You get mail (non-junk) that is not addressed to you or your address but to an address with the same number, but 2-3 streets over. Which of these things is something you would be likely to do?
Put the mail back in your mailbox (or a public mailbox) for the mailperson to deal with.
Write something on the mail such as “Delivered to wrong address”, then put it back into your mailbox or a public mailbox.
Walk the mail over to the correct address, leave it on the doorstep.
Walk the mail over to the correct address, put it in the mail slot, or mailbox if accessible.
Walk the mail over to the correct address, leave it on the doorstep, ring the doorbell, but walk away without talking to a person.
Walk the mail over to the correct address, ring the doorbell, hand it to a person. If no answer, try again later.
Throw the mail away.
Open the mail and see what’s in there, just for entertainment purposes, then throw away any non-valuable bits.

Given Donald Trump’s past and current attempts to subvert democracy, there’s a strong possibility that he’ll at least attempt to cancel, rig, or otherwise interfere in 2026’s midterm elections. With that in mind, do you think it’s a worthwhile use of time and resources to vote and/or participate significantly in other election related activities (e.g. political donations, volunteering, voter drives, etc.) in and leading up to November 2026?
Yes, of course; there’s no sense in giving up in advance
I’m honestly unsure
No; the chances of free and fair elections next year are so remote, time and resources are better spent elsewhere (which I may describe in the discussion thread)
