Last week the Trump administration enacted a policy to prevent federal transportation funds from being spent on things like public transit and bike / pedestrian infrastructure, based on the logic that the majority of Americans get around by car, therefore car-centric infrastructure is what Americans want / need.

So, question for American Dopers:

  • I get around mostly by driving, and that’s the way I like it. Even if a viable alternative existed, I’d still prefer to drive everywhere.
  • I get around mostly by driving, but only because it’s really the only option. If some other viable means of transportation existed I’d prefer that.
  • I get around mostly by some other means (walking, biking, public transit, Uber, or other, or some combination thereof), and that’s how I prefer it.
  • I get around mostly by some other means, but only because my circumstances prevent me from driving. I’d really prefer to drive.
  • I rarely / never go anywhere
  • I’m not American but I want to vote
