It’s gotta be butter. Healthier, too.

I’ve GOT that spray can !! However, I’ve never seen " I Can’t Believe It’s Light Soy Sauce ! Spray "
A friend of mine loves hot sauce on his popcorn
Morton’s Hot Salt
Jr. Mints (toss some in the still-hot bag and shake well)
Anyone ever try “Pica” powder? It’s a Mexican condiment - some sort of lime / chili powder mix. I like it, but I like anything over-the-top.
I put something like it, called “Twang” in plain V8. (The stuff is made for Margarita’s and Bloody Marys, I’m sure.) It’s Chile Lime salt, with some lemon as well. It’s good, bet it’d taste well on popcorn.
I have been known to drizzle butter on my popcorn, then shake the dry cheese packet from a cheap box of macaroni and cheese over the top. :o Amazingly good and amazingly cheap.
As they say it cookbooks, reserve the macaroni for another use.
OK. Last night I tried an experiment. I was going to make it fairly simple, but, I didn’t have any garlic powder so I was forced to improvise.
I did have some garlic flakes so I whipped out the old mortar n’ pestle. I was doing all this work, though, just for some garlic so I decide peanuts would be a nice addition. Into the mortar goes a small handful.
I also decided I’ve had butter with enough batches, so instead I used olive oil.
All in all I added: Garlic, cayenne pepper, salt, ground pepper, olive oil, peanuts and turmeric. Yum!
Not.
We use the “practically no fat” microwave popcorn, then drizzle an infused olive oil over it and mix well. Both truffle oil and garlic oil have been winners.
Hot sauce supposedly helps popped corn keep longer.
That’s funny, cause at my place putting hot sauce on popcorn makes it last all of five minutes.
I fell like I’ve stumbled onto the High Times forum.
I like the salt & vinegar stuff they have at the theatre. Gives me stomach pains, but gosh it’s tasty.
When I worked at a movie theater, a patron once squirted mustard over his popcorn. We were skeptical of this at first, but it turned out to be damn tasty. Mustard helps the parmesan cheese stick to the popcorn better too.
I’m a fan of original popcorn with a little butter and salt. But has anyone tried Old Bay sprinkled on theirs?? So good! I highly recommend. It definitely spices it up a bit.
