Porn being sent on mobiles (cell) phones... from strangers.

My friend has been sent naked pics of a guy she does not know from a number she does not recognise - she freaked - this has happened twice.

I told her it’s probably a wrong number, but just in case, just ignore it. That should have been the end of it.

BUT a weeks later, my wife got sent pics of a tranny (I hope this is politically correct) from a number she didn’t recognise.

This got me thinking… is this some kind of spam or money making scheme?? Has it happened to anyone else?? As you can figure, its hard to search this on Google…

I know its easy to speculate, but I’m hoping to find a real answer to this. And no it’s not bothering us… I just want to know “why?” .

I’m still looking an answer to this… I googled a bit and the closest I could come to was this, but there was no explanation of “WHY?”. But that may be from someone that knows that person. My case (or my wife’s and my friend) their phone numbers are sacred - ie, only given to close family and friends. And in Australia mobile numbers aren’t listed in the Phone book.

Maybe this is just an odd coincidental case (that just happened to happen 3 times) :stuck_out_tongue:
