Don’t know why, but I recently had a flashback from almost 20 year ago and I cannot figure what this movie actually was.
Way back in the very early 80’s (when I was 13-14 years old) I vaguely remember being at a friend’s house and he got a tape of his dad’s out for us and put it in the VCR (maybe a Betamax this memory goes so far back).
We watched a scene from a movie that I today don’t think was “porn” (as in XXX, bad music and flying fluids) but ssemed to be more explicit then the normal “R” movies of the day.
It was a sci-fi or horror-type movie, and the scene we saw (before his mom starting to come down the basement and he scrambled to get the tape out of the machine) had a big-breasted woman in spacesuit(?) and this alien-monster with tentacles or a big slimy arm facing her. The alien rips her clothes off, then slithers the tentacle down her body and starts to penetrate her and give her great pleasure (although I don’t think we saw this in close-up), until the penetration gets too deep and she starts shaking and the alien kills the woman.
That’s all I remember and I’m wondering if anyone else knows what this movie was?
Sorry, but I think “The Sound of Music” is the movie where Luke Skywalker blows up the Death Star and Darth Vader floats away until the sequel. Thanks anyway.
Sounds a bit like Galaxy of Terror, a Roger Corman flick that featured Ray Walston (My Favorite Martian) and Cindy Williams. I heard a rumor that it was directed by that Titanic guy, before he went on to bigger and better things (Piranha II, then The Terminator), but that might not be true.
One scene features a busty blonde who gets stripped and raped by a giant slimy caterpillar. This might be the scene you have in mind.
Hey, I remember that scene too! I saw it on Cinemax or Showtime when I was about the same age. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t Horror Planet because the alien didn’t rape the woman; he killed her and then ate her. I remember this because after the penetration/killing scene, we see two other crewmen rush into the room in time to see the woman’s legs disappear into the creature’s mouth (a scene which I remember being absurdly funny at the time). The movie had frequent nudity with space crew people getting it on with one another. It was like a bizarre cross between Emmanuelle and Alien. Unfortunately, I can’t for the life of me remember the title.
It was Forbidden World, which was alternately titled Mutant. Check the link and you will no doubt recognize the aforementioned alien creature (into whose mouth the hapless buxum babe eventually disappeared).
Cindy Williams? Shirley, you must be joking! IMDB says GoT stars Erin “Joanie Cunningham” Moran. Just goes to show you, they weren’t all happy days. And IMDB does show that James Cameron was involved with the film as a unit director.
As MST3K has said a million times, Roger Corman makes bad movies.
The vidcaps are amazingly slow to load, so I assume whoever set up this site is using a Commodore-64 also from 1981, but even though I H8_2_W8 the pictures finalllllllly came up and that’s the movie I remembered.
I know my description wasn’t totally clear, after 19 years I guess it was close enough. Thanks to everyone for their best guesses.
Unbelievable. I thought I had the right movie, but it turns out I was thinking of an entirely different tentacle-penetrating-and-then-killing-a-buxom-babe scene from a different movie. In Forbidden World the woman in question had just gotten out of the shower and started the scene wrapped in a towel. She happens upon the creature in a room and tries to communicate with it. The creature reaches out with its tentacle and starts touching her, and the rest is history.
No doubt we have stumbled upon a common Roger Corman theme here.
Isn’t Forbidden World the one where the scientist with cancer feeds himself to the creature, who gets cancer and dies? And wasn’t there the “I’ve just got to lock this down!” scene where the black guy just HAS to fix something in the room with the sleeping monster, while everyone is yelling at him to get out, but of course he doesn’t? And it has a robot in it? And the chicks in the towels try to communicate with the monster via the computer?
Damn, that was an awful movie. Please excuse me while I cauterize the brain cells where those memories came from…
It was a God-awful movie. Oh, and here’s the tentacle scene I was thinking of (from the same site that H8_2_W8 linked – thanks for the link; I was going crazy with doubt). I was wrong about the towel, though. It was a bathrobe.
