Portage Murder Torture case from 2007 to have final sentencing on Dec 30 2008

So many questions!

So why was Clark’s oldest child put in foster care, and the other two were allowed to stay with her? Exactly how did she kidnap the child? Was the child’s foster parent Clerc’s mother or someone else?

What was wrong with Garlin? Was she mentally ill or mentally retarded? On the night of the murder, why was she having trouble using the toilet? Was she ill or injured?

How was this household supporting itself? Did any of the adults work?

Why did Garlin stay in the abusive household? Why did Sisk and Clark pick on Garlin’s son and not the daughter?

Just how long would it take for the son to become so emaciated? They were all living at Clerc’s mother’s house, and Clerc’s mother was a fit enough parent to keep Clark’s 2-year-old, so the boy probably wasn’t abused there… so he went from fine in Florida to skin and bones in Wisconsin? Over what period of time?

I have a hard time imagining how a 24-year-old woman and mother of 3 young children could be so cruel and abusive. Why? What is her background? One of the articles says that Sisk is the father of only one of the kids. So where are the fathers of the other two kids? Why was the 2-year-old in foster care?

This case is so unbelievably bizarre. I’m wondering why some of these obvious questions haven’t been covered in the media reports.

They were.

The father of the other kids wasn’t mentioned but that kind of information isn’t going to be released around here if they have it. The fathers of the children if not Sisk weren’t involved in this case so their names don’t need to come out in court. Some women don’t necessarily know who the father of their children are in any case and I wouldn’t be surprised that the fathers aren’t definitely known with this lady.

And by “vent” do you mean “accidentally catherize their forehead while simultaniously giving a tentanus shot to the testicles”?
