There is a completely off-the-wall outside chance that sometime in the near future there is a possiblity that I may become with any luck and depending on a myriad of external forces over which I have no control but if I have anything to say about it will actually happen … a resident of Eugene, Oregon. At least for a little while.

I, being the humble person that I am, of course accept all offers of free beer.
I’m trying to figure out if I can move in with my cousin for a little while (he’s a 27 year old professional hippy, I mean student, in Eugene). While I’m there I may look into furthering my studies as well.
Anyway without going into too much – by the end of the year I shall either be in Eugene, or I’ll have completely followed through with my plans and will have made it back to Maine – where there are far fewer Dopers – which is sad.
Well… Portland sort of. Actually… THE COUV! Yes, that’s right… Vancouver, WA is my home. (I work in Beaverton though… 
(And I hate it… so if anybody has any good job leads…

A Portland-fest would be fun… post a specific date and I’ll see if I can make it!! I’d love to put some faces to names. (Friends and I are at the Horse Brass constantly, any other regulars there?)

But alas, now I live in Santa Barbara and your talk of scotch eggs makes me weep in sorrow (someone will invariably enter here and explain that there IS good beer in Santa Barbara, feh.). I’m sad, now, and homesick.
