It’s been quite a while since we’ve had a Dopefest here in Portland, Oregon. I was thinking maybe another potluck anytime between April and early June.
No replies?
But I was going to bring vegetarian haggis!
I’m in if I’m free whenever it’s scheduled.
Admit it-it was the haggis that convinced you, wasn’t it?
I’ll bring pie.
I have non-vegetarian haggis in the cupboard.
Bring it on-It’ll go great with the Rocky Mountain oysters.
I’d love to. Only Portland is – what? 280 mile from here? And there’s The Slog.
And since I’ve remembered the haggis, I’m eyeing it and the box of Ritz Crackers I have…
If you ship the haggis to the Dopefest, I’ll ship you some Bacon CheezWhiz for the crackers.
Deal?
Well, it’s my last can… I suppose I could find some online.
Actually, if enough people are going to attend, I might look into Horizon Air. I’ve flown them a bit between Seattle and Bellingham, and I like them. I’ll have to see how the fares are when the time comes.
Maybe I could make some scotch eggs.
Now you’re tempting me! I haven’t had Scotch eggs in years. (Though I love it up here, there are a couple of things I miss about L.A. One of them is Ye Olde King’s Head. And even when I lived there I went for the bangers or the F&C instead of the appetizers.) Hm… I should see if I can find a recipe for faggots & peas.
Not that that wasn’t a factor, but secretly I was hoping to try some bacon salt.
The ex-Doper formerly known as Master Control and I would be delighted to attend! And a Scotch egg or two sounds loverly
Yep, I’d be all over it–scotch eggs or no! I’ll pass on the haggis though, veggie or otherwise… That stuff makes me hurl in rainbow colors.
Where and when, people?
Really? 'Cause it’s basically brown.
It’s my blood, throat lining and eyeballs that give it the more florid aspects…
So, let’s narrow it down–downtown, SE…not Beaverton?
Are people wanting a restaurant setting, or a potluck setting? If restaurant, we could do any of the McMenimans pubs.
How much are you when it isn’t scheduled?
