OMIGOD! It was a near thing, but I’ve finally heard from my boss’s boss that my trip is NOT cancelled. (I’ve been sweating it since Thursday.) We’re in “cost containment”, which means all non-necessary expenditures are cancelled. But since the conference $$$ is already spent, he’s letting us go! Wheeee!
So I get about nine of us, unless I lost count. (I’ve been nagging my boss about scheduling Sunday off for me. She’s had the note for days now, so it better be right!)
I’ll be out of touch from Friday night until Sunday afternoon, but I still plan to be back in the city in time to be there. So, I’m RSVPing for the two of us, in case you have lost count.
