Moderators and other Dopers–
The recent board hack has made me realize that it’s stupid to use my current SMDB alias, which is identical to my username on many more sensitive websites (even tho my password is different). Question: is it possible for a moderator to change my alias/handle to something else on request, or do I just have to start a new account and lose my humble posting count?
It is possible, and it’s been done manny times. Email TibaDiva or Lynn Bodoni. It will be done. You brought chocolate, right?

Chocolate makes me sick–can’t stand to look at the stuff. Will carob do?

Also, the “thread starter” and “last post by” fields are determined by what you signed in as at the time, not your current user name, as you may have noticed.
