Primus plays Rush’s classic, “Xanadu.”
Andres Segovia plays “Asturias (Leyenda)”.
Dr. Sandra Lee is not just a pimple popper.

And the crowd erupted in applause.
Wilco “Impossible Germany”
I like the three-part guitar work and especially Nels Cline tearing it up on the solo.
And with no dot markers on the fretboard!
Love the bored looks on the other two.
Sorry, I didn’t read the OP clearly enough.
As I understand it, the original piece was written to be unsingable by a human voice, and they post processed the movie soundtrack. But clearly there are some great human versions.
If you’re referring to that curved thing attached by a cable-tie, it’s an E-Bow !
This guy delivers a pretty impressive performance :-
Note the trademark ridiculously fast arpeggios at 0:55 !!
Very cool, thanks for posting that info! Here’s some nice playing with a talk box, eh?
I’m a lifelong fan of William Bolcom’s rags, and this performance of The Serpent’s Kiss is far and away the best I’ve ever heard, and I’ve listened to most of the ones you can find on YouTube.
The great Maria João Pires had a moment when the orchestra started to play a different Mozart concerto from the one she had prepared for: but she picked it up and went on perfectly:
And how about some coloratura pyrotechnics at their most demanding? Cecilia Bartoli singing Vivaldi’s ‘Agitata da due venti’:
How does that even happen? Did she never rehearse with the orchestra? Both her and the orchestra working on the assumption that they knew the piece well enough they could rely on the conductor to keep everything running smoothly?
It seems to me that, no matter how many communications screw ups could have led to a mistake like this, even a single ‘lets run through this one together real quick’ at some point before this moment would have exposed the issue before they were in front on an audience.
Some more SRV?
Stevie breaking a string mid-song (2:47) and seamlessly swapping out the guitar.
BB King breaking a string, and replacing the string mid-song (though he doesn’t play it anymore for the rest of the song, but still impressive). I have no idea what editor (or camera operator) decided to go with a close up of his face during this.
Though it’s probably polished up a bit afterwards, it’s essentially live and with very little material they create a total groove.
She really is blessed with her vocal.
It seems like Tommy Emmanuel is generally a really nice guy. For instance, meeting other musicians at music festivals and saying hey, join me on stage for a number. I was at this show, and it was pretty damn awesome.
How about no frets at all? In the “international” category, I’ll offer this shamisen duet by the Yoshida brothers - perfectly synchronized, and perfectly in tune:
Let’s never forget Kiss Guy at the Foo Fighter’s concert.
I love watching these. Dave always seems genuinely impressed
And this one, where the kid plays some Metallica and Dave runs out of lyrics before the kid runs out of music. Also, I love watching Pat and the rest of the band taking a break and watching the kid (instead of using the time to get off the stage for a few minutes). And, of course, the ending where Dave gives the kid his guitar.
And there’s so many more of them.
