Post election advertisements

Are there any regulations regarding ads challenging elections or electors post election?

Just 240 years of tradition.

Which really doesn’t mean Jack in today’s political climate.

That’s why I didn’t say 250 years of tradition.

I don’t see why there would be regulations. Political ads are regulated so as to make the election process fair. Once the election is over that’s no longer a concern. Anything after that is a matter for the courts and the legislature, neither of which is likely to be affected by ads.

I’m not sure what such ads are seeking to accomplish.

Discord and distrust among fellow Americans. Once we have all decided democracy doesn’t work, the welcome mat is laid out for the autocrats.

So it’s no different than ICE ads.

Fewer face masks (presumably).

I could see Elon and other interested billionaires putting out some bucks to sell Americans on the idea that all the November 3 elections were rigged* and that said Americans should Make Their Outrage Known. Goal: to intimidate any judges who might rule that no evidence of fraud has been presented, etc.

*except the ones that resulted in Republican wins, of course.

I doubt that would work and just seems like a huge waste of money.

I hope you’re right. Certainly a good number of judges have, so far, resisted bending the law to please the Regime (to their great credit).

I should say I don’t think you’re wrong though. Even if it’s futile, the Republicans have acted more desperately of late and i could see them doing it.
